Who We Are

Ride Westside is a community cycling group based in Washington County, Oregon. We bring together cyclists of all skill levels who live, work, or ride in the western Portland metro area.

What We’re About

We believe that bikes build community. Our mission is to:

Connect cyclists in Washington County who might otherwise feel isolated from Portland’s bike culture
Advocate for better infrastructure so everyone can ride safely
Host fun, inclusive rides that welcome beginners and experienced cyclists alike
Build relationships between riders, local businesses, and community leaders

Join Us

Whether you’re a daily commuter, weekend warrior, or just bike-curious, you’re welcome to join any of our rides. No membership required, no fees, just show up and ride!

Council Creek Regional Trail Funded A 15-mile planned rail-trail connecting Hillsboro, Cornelius, and Forest Grove along a former railroad corridor, with construction beginning summer 2026. Washington County / City of Hillsboro / City of Forest Grove Fanno Creek Trail Funded A 15-mile multi-city greenway trail following Fanno Creek from Tualatin through Tigard and Beaverton to southwest Portland, with several segments recently completed and crossings still being improved. THPRD / City of Tigard / City of Tualatin / Portland Parks Red Electric Trail Funded A 16-mile planned rail-trail along the former Southern Pacific Red Electric interurban corridor connecting the Tualatin River to the Willamette River through Beaverton and SW Portland. Portland Parks & Recreation / City of Beaverton / TriMet / Metro Tigard Trail Crossings Funded Road crossing improvements on the Fanno Creek Trail through Tigard, including the Scholls Ferry Road grade crossing and Hall Boulevard RRFB beacons. In Design

TV Highway Corridor In Design Multi-jurisdictional safety, transit, and bike infrastructure improvements along OR-8 (Tualatin Valley Highway) from Beaverton to Forest Grove. ODOT / Washington County / TriMet / Metro / Cities of Beaverton and Hillsboro Westside Trail In Design A planned 20-mile regional trail connecting Beaverton to Lake Oswego through the Tualatin Hills, with most segments built but key gaps remaining. THPRD / Washington County Westside Trail Bridge over US-26 In Design A planned pedestrian and bicycle bridge crossing US Highway 26 to close a critical gap in the Westside Trail between SW Greenbrier Parkway and NW Cornell Road.
